World Music Ministry was founded in July 2009 and is a vision that is growing and developing. Aswell as continuing to write songs myself, my heart is to equip, encourage and develop others in their creative giftings. Over the years I have had a lot of training and experience in dancing, singing and songwriting and wish to pass on my knowledge. If you feel called to creative ministry or you have a burning passion to express yourself musically and be heard, you've come to the right place!

Dancing has always been a way of expressing how I feel inside. To free your body is to free your mind; it can be a great healer! I knew from an early age that dancing was going to play a big part in my life. I attended classes throughout my school life and went on to train and work as a dancer. I obtained a national diploma in dance and a higher national diploma in professional musical theatre. Whilst dancing in nightclubs for many years, I worked as a Radio City roadshow dancer and toured nationally with local singers. I also danced on the Smash Hits tour and appeared in Corrine Bailey Rae's video Like a Star. I toured with Westlife, and appeared in a film called 'Everybody Loves Sunshine' featuring David Bowie and Goldie (to name but a few jobs). I have spent the last few years teaching dance. Seeing the students grow in confidence and skill was extremely rewarding! Dance is incorporated with singing at W.M.M when necessary.

As a child I sang in church and in shows in the background. Then after doing my A Levels I went to a stage school called Merseyside Dance and Drama where I had my first singing lessons. Whilst doing a national diploma in dance at City College Manchester I had more singing lessons. I then went on to Liverpool Theatre School where I had three years of musical theatre singing training and also attended local singing classes. In the year 2000 I started writing songs and attended songwriting classes. In songwriting I found my calling and my purpose in life. I knew in my heart that all the training and experience had been so that in the future I could sing my own songs. I began singing my songs at events in and around Chester and recording with my co-writer and producer Neil Preston who I met at songwriting class. Neil and I have been successful in the U.K Songwriting Contest for five years running.

My aim through World Music Ministry is to help others to find their voice and develop their confidence. For budding songwriters WMM hopes to encourage and inspire, give guidance and support, and provide a place for collaboration. WMM's vision is to release the work created, and work towards live performances.
